All vintage film filters, date stamps, camera previews, and styled text formatting are processed locally in physical device RAM.

We never ask for or collect your real name, email, phone number, passwords, or personal credentials.
No Cloud Photo Uploads
Your captured photos and memories stay exclusively in your phone's local storage and gallery. We run zero cloud media servers.

DearDays is engineered as an offline-first, client-side utility. We do NOT harvest, store, sell, or rent any of the following personal data categories:

We do NOT collect your real name, personal address, phone number, or personal email address.
User Account Credentials
There is no signup, registration, username, or password system in the app.
Precise Geographic Location
We do NOT request, track, or access your fine GPS or coarse background location coordinates.
Contacts, Calls & Messages
We do NOT access your device phonebook, call history, SMS messages, or microphone.
Biometric Data
We do NOT capture, record, store, or transmit facial recognition, face geometry, or biometric identity templates.

Live Camera Viewfinder, Vintage Film Filters & Photo Capture
Required to display the real-time camera viewfinder, apply vintage color grading, render live timestamp watermarks, and capture high-resolution photos. Camera frames are processed purely in real-time volatile memory (RAM). Frames are NEVER recorded in the background, transmitted across the internet, or used for surveillance.
Smart Pose & Aesthetic Framing Guides
On-Screen Composition Silhouettes & Framing Guides
DearDays provides smart visual silhouettes to guide aesthetic portrait composition. All framing guides execute 100% locally on your phone. No camera feeds, photos, or visual data are ever uploaded, logged, or shared across any network.
Photo Storage & Media Library (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE & MediaStore)
Saving Captured Photos & Enabling the Memories Timeline
On Android 9 and below, the app requests WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE; on Android 10 and above, it utilizes modern Scoped Storage (Android MediaStore). Used solely to save captured vintage photos into your public gallery (Pictures/DearDays) and manage your local in-app Memories journal. We never access photos outside of DearDays's scope.
Haptic Feedback (android.permission.VIBRATE)
Tactile Shutter & Camera Dial Feedback
Triggers realistic physical tactile vibrations when pressing the camera shutter button, rotating filter dials, and interacting with controls for an authentic retro camera experience.
Internet & Network State (INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)
Ad Delivery & Google UMP Privacy Consent Verification
Used exclusively to communicate with Google AdMob servers for loading advertisements and retrieving GDPR/CCPA privacy consent status via Google User Messaging Platform (UMP).
Google Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID)
Android 13+ Compliant Ad Attribution & Fraud Prevention
Declared in accordance with Google Play policies to allow Google Mobile Ads SDK to serve relevant ads, perform frequency capping, and detect fraudulent clicks based on your privacy choices.
4Third-Party Services: Advertising & Telemetry
To sustain free access to DearDays, maintain high app reliability, and diagnose technical errors, the App integrates trusted developer services provided by Google LLC:
A. Google AdMob (Advertisements)
Google AdMob serves non-intrusive banner and interstitial advertisements. Google AdMob and Google Play Services may automatically collect technical diagnostics and identifiers:
- Google Advertising ID (GAID / AD_ID): Used to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads according to user consent.
- Device Diagnostics: Hardware model, operating system version, carrier, and screen dimensions.
- Coarse IP Location: Used to infer general country/city level location for regional ad serving and fraud detection.
- Ad Telemetry: Impressions, clicks, and diagnostic telemetry for ad performance measurement.
Consent Management (Google UMP): We implement the official Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK. Users in the EEA, UK, and eligible US states can freely select personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or revoke consent at any time.
B. Google Firebase (Crashlytics & App Performance)
We may utilize Google Firebase features (including Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics) to track crashes, guarantee app stability, and optimize user experience:
- Crash Diagnostics & Stack Traces: Automatically captured when an unexpected application crash occurs to help us diagnose and patch bugs quickly.
- Anonymous Usage Telemetry: Pseudonymous app instance identifiers, screen view counts, and non-identifying interaction events.
- Strict Privacy Boundary: Firebase does NOT collect, view, or upload your photos, memories, private text inputs, or identity credentials.

6Data Retention & User Deletion Rights
Because DearDays does not host cloud user accounts, all your created photos, custom text styles, and memories reside solely on your physical device. You retain 100% control over deletion:
Delete individual memories, notes, or photos at any moment directly within the app timeline.
Go to Settings > Apps > DearDays > Storage > Clear Storage to instantly wipe all databases and caches.
Uninstalling the application permanently purges all app-private databases and stored preferences.
7Children's Privacy (COPPA & Families Policy)
DearDays is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately for prompt deletion.
8International Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
GDPR (EEA & UK Users)
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, restrict, or erase personal data, and withdraw advertising consent at any time via in-app consent preferences or device-level Google ad controls.
CCPA / CPRA (California)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, consumers have the right to request disclosure of personal data categories collected, request deletion, and opt out. We do NOT sell or rent your personal information.
